Wise Intelligent, President of the Rap Snacks Foundation, leverages three decades of community activism, experience, connections and insight in the Hip Hop industry into developing and implementing financial literacy, entrepreneurship and community economic development programs in our communities. Originally from Trenton, New Jersey, Wise Intelligent is an internationally known artist/activist, songwriter/producer, social entrepreneur and the front man of the critically acclaimed and legendary Hip hop trio known to the world as the Poor Righteous Teachers.
The “spirit of entrepreneurship” is the ability to creatively find solutions for the various problems that exist in society – an act of changing the world by first changing one’s self. For Rap Snacks founder James Lindsay, our youth are some of the most innovative and creative thinkers in our society, and youth culture (including, but not limited to Hip Hop) – one of the most dynamic, and powerfully diverse vehicles for social good. From the time he launched his Rap Snacks brand of snacks in 1994 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he has sought—everyday—to inspire, challenge and empower young people from under-resourced communities like the one in which he was raised to tap into the power of their youth through entrepreneurship and help them reach their full potential.
Through our innovative workshops, mentorship programs, and hands-on experiences, the Rap Snacks Foundation is equipping the next generation with the entrepreneurial skills to succeed. With an exemplary satisfaction rate among over 500 participants across our programs, we are committed to fostering a community of young, dynamic leaders ready to make lasting impacts.
