North Miami, FL – 2023 – Rap Snacks/BossUp FDN, in partnership with The City of North Miami, District 2 Councilwoman Kassandra Timothe and the North Miami Public Library, successfully hosted an impactful 8-week Entrepreneurship Bootcamp aimed at equipping underserved youth with the tools to become future business leaders. The initiative, spearheaded by Rap Snacks/BossUp FDN, reflects the growing enthusiasm for entrepreneurship in the community, demonstrated by over 200 registrations during the North Miami Public Library’s Career Block Party.
The Career Block Party, a dynamic event showcasing opportunities from universities, businesses, cultural institutions, and military recruiters, set the stage for this transformative program. From the pool of 200 applicants, 20 talented young participants were selected to embark on a rigorous journey of business creation and development.
Throughout the bootcamp, students gained hands-on experience conceptualizing their business ideas, crafting detailed business plans, and developing minimum viable products (MVPs). The program culminated in a highly anticipated pitch competition where participants presented their innovative ideas to a distinguished panel of successful entrepreneurs, influencers, and industry leaders. The winner was awarded seed funding to launch their start-up, further solidifying the program’s commitment to fostering real-world impact.
